This Anti-Money Laundering and Know Your Customer Policy ("Policy") sets out the obligations of Casbit Group N.V., operator of Justbit Casino at justbitonline.com, in preventing financial crime, protecting the integrity of our platform, and ensuring compliance with applicable anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing requirements. By registering an account and using our services, all players agree to be bound by this Policy in full.

1. Introduction and Purpose

Justbit Casino is operated by Casbit Group N.V. and is licensed under Curaçao eGaming Licence No. 8048/JAZ. We have been providing online casino and sports betting services since 2021, serving players across more than 80 countries. As a licensed gambling operator, we are committed to the highest standards of regulatory compliance, including the prevention of money laundering, terrorist financing, and other forms of financial crime.

The purpose of this Policy is to:

  • Establish clear procedures for verifying the identity of our customers;
  • Define the circumstances under which enhanced due diligence is required;
  • Set out our obligations to monitor transactions and report suspicious activity;
  • Explain the rights and responsibilities of players in relation to these procedures;
  • Ensure that justbitonline.com is not knowingly or unknowingly used as a vehicle for the proceeds of criminal activity.

This Policy applies to all players, all depositing and withdrawing accounts, and all members of the Justbit Casino team involved in processing payments or customer accounts. It is reviewed regularly and updated in line with developments in applicable legislation and guidance.

2. Legal and Regulatory Framework

Casbit Group N.V. operates under the authority of its Curaçao eGaming licence and adheres to internationally recognised anti-money laundering standards, including those promulgated by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF). Our compliance framework is designed to meet or exceed the requirements applicable under our licence and the laws of the jurisdictions in which we accept customers.

Money laundering is broadly defined as the process by which the proceeds of crime are converted into assets that appear to have a legitimate origin. This typically occurs in three stages:

  • Placement — introducing illicit funds into the financial system;
  • Layering — concealing the trail of those funds through a series of complex transactions;
  • Integration — reintroducing the laundered funds into the legitimate economy.

Terrorist financing involves the provision or collection of funds, by any means, with the intention that they be used to carry out terrorist acts. Justbit Casino treats both money laundering and terrorist financing as equally serious threats and applies the same rigorous controls to both.

3. Responsibility and Governance

The ultimate responsibility for AML and KYC compliance rests with the senior management of Casbit Group N.V. Day-to-day compliance is managed by a designated Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO), who is responsible for:

  • Overseeing the implementation of this Policy;
  • Receiving and reviewing internal suspicious activity reports;
  • Filing reports with relevant authorities where required;
  • Ensuring that all relevant staff receive adequate AML and KYC training;
  • Keeping this Policy under regular review.

All customer-facing and payments staff at justbitonline.com are required to understand their obligations under this Policy and to report any concerns to the MLRO promptly. Failure to comply with this Policy may result in disciplinary action.

4. Customer Due Diligence (CDD) — Standard Verification

Justbit Casino applies a risk-based approach to customer due diligence. All players are subject to a baseline level of identity verification. The timing and depth of that verification is determined by the level of risk presented by the customer's activity.

Standard customer due diligence requires us to verify:

  • The player's full legal name;
  • Date of birth (players must be 18 years of age or older);
  • Residential address;
  • Identity through an acceptable government-issued document.

KYC verification may be triggered at any of the following points:

  • Upon registration, at the operator's discretion;
  • Before a withdrawal of any amount is processed;
  • When cumulative deposits or withdrawals reach internal threshold levels;
  • When a withdrawal exceeds €5,000, which will trigger a mandatory re-verification step in accordance with our AML protocols;
  • At any time the player's activity generates a compliance flag or suspicion of irregular behaviour.

4.1 Acceptable Identity Documents

Players will be asked to submit clear, full-colour copies or photographs of the following documents. All documents must be valid and not expired.

Document Type Examples Accepted Purpose
Proof of Identity (POI) Passport, national identity card, government-issued driving licence Confirms full name, date of birth, photograph
Proof of Address (POA) Utility bill, bank statement, official government correspondence (dated within 3 months) Confirms residential address
Proof of Payment Method Card photograph (front only, showing name and last four digits), e-wallet screenshot, crypto wallet address confirmation Confirms ownership of the payment method used
Source of Funds / Wealth Payslips, bank statements, tax returns, investment or business documentation Required for enhanced due diligence (see Section 5)

Documents may be submitted via our secure in-account verification portal. Players who experience difficulty uploading documents are encouraged to contact our 24/7 support team via live chat, email, or Telegram for assistance.

4.2 Verification Timeframes

Justbit Casino aims to complete standard KYC checks within 24 to 72 hours of receiving all required documentation. Complex cases or those requiring enhanced due diligence may take longer. Players will be notified of the outcome via email or in-account notification. Withdrawals will be held pending successful verification and will not be released until the KYC process is complete.

4.3 Incomplete or Rejected Verification

If a player fails to submit the required documentation within a reasonable timeframe following a verification request, or if the documentation provided is insufficient, Justbit Casino reserves the right to:

  • Suspend withdrawal processing until verification is complete;
  • Restrict account functionality, including deposits and gameplay;
  • Close the account where satisfactory verification cannot be obtained.

In the event that an account is closed due to failed verification, any funds held will be dealt with in accordance with our terms and conditions and applicable regulatory obligations.

5. Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD)

Enhanced due diligence is applied in circumstances where the level of risk associated with a player or transaction is assessed as higher than standard. EDD requires additional information and documentation beyond the standard CDD requirements set out in Section 4.

EDD will be applied in the following circumstances, among others:

  • The player is identified as, or is associated with, a Politically Exposed Person (PEP);
  • The player is resident in, or transacts from, a jurisdiction identified as high-risk by FATF or our internal risk framework;
  • The player's deposits, withdrawals, or gameplay patterns are inconsistent with their stated profile;
  • Withdrawals trigger our high-value transaction thresholds (including single withdrawals or cumulative amounts that generate a compliance review);
  • A player requests a withdrawal that exceeds €5,000 in a single transaction, in line with our stated AML protocols;
  • There are reasonable grounds to suspect that a player's funds may derive from criminal activity;
  • A player's account shows unusual structuring of deposits or withdrawals that may indicate an attempt to avoid detection thresholds.

5.1 Source of Funds and Source of Wealth

Where EDD is triggered, Justbit Casino will request documentation evidencing both source of funds (the origin of the specific funds being deposited or wagered) and, where appropriate, source of wealth (the overall origin of the player's total assets). Acceptable documentation may include, but is not limited to:

  • Recent payslips or employment contract (employed players);
  • Company accounts, business registration documents, or dividend statements (self-employed or business owners);
  • Pension or annuity statements (retired players);
  • Investment portfolio statements or stock sale confirmations;
  • Inheritance documentation or solicitor correspondence;
  • Lottery or prize-win certificates.

For cryptocurrency deposits, we may additionally request evidence linking the depositing wallet address to the player, as well as documentation demonstrating the legitimate origin of crypto assets. Players who have acquired cryptocurrency through exchange platforms may be asked to provide transaction history from those exchanges.

5.2 Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs)

A Politically Exposed Person is an individual who holds, or has held within the preceding twelve months, a prominent public position, including heads of state or government, senior politicians, senior judicial or military officials, senior executives of state-owned corporations, and important political party officials, as well as immediate family members and known close associates of such persons.

Justbit Casino applies enhanced scrutiny to all accounts identified as belonging to, or closely associated with, a PEP. PEP status does not automatically result in account refusal, but it does require senior management approval before a business relationship is established or continued, and ongoing enhanced monitoring throughout the relationship.

6. Ongoing Transaction Monitoring

Customer due diligence is not a one-time exercise. Justbit Casino operates continuous transaction monitoring across all accounts to identify patterns or behaviours that may indicate money laundering, terrorist financing, or other financial crime. Our monitoring framework is designed to flag, among other things:

  • Rapid deposit and withdrawal activity with minimal gameplay in between;
  • Deposits significantly in excess of the player's stated income or financial profile;
  • Multiple deposits just below threshold levels that may suggest deliberate structuring;
  • Requests to withdraw to a payment method different from the one used to deposit;
  • Unusual patterns of play that appear inconsistent with genuine gambling activity;
  • Transactions involving jurisdictions, IP addresses, or wallet addresses associated with elevated risk;
  • Sudden significant increases in deposit or wagering volumes without clear explanation.

Where a flag is generated, the relevant account will be reviewed by our compliance team. Depending on the outcome of that review, we may request additional information from the player, apply temporary account restrictions, or file a suspicious activity report as appropriate.

7. Payment Method Restrictions and the Consistency Principle

Justbit Casino operates a strict consistency principle in relation to payment methods. Players may only withdraw funds to the same payment method from which a deposit was made, up to the amount deposited by that method. This principle exists to prevent the layering of funds through different payment channels and applies across all payment methods available at justbitonline.com, including:

  • Visa and Mastercard;
  • iDEAL;
  • Skrill and Neteller;
  • Paysafecard (note: certain prepaid instruments may be ineligible for withdrawal in line with AML requirements);
  • Bank transfer;
  • Cryptocurrency wallets (BTC, ETH, LTC, USDT, DOGE, XRP and others supported on the platform).

As noted on justbitonline.com, fiat and cryptocurrency transactions cannot be mixed within the same withdrawal. A player who has deposited in fiat must withdraw in fiat; a player who has deposited in cryptocurrency must withdraw to a compatible cryptocurrency wallet. Where a player has deposited using multiple methods, withdrawals will be allocated in proportion to the amounts deposited by each method, at our discretion.

8. Withdrawal Limits and AML Thresholds

The following withdrawal limits apply at justbitonline.com and form part of our AML controls framework:

Player Category Method Weekly Limit Monthly Limit
Standard (non-VIP) Fiat (cards, e-wallets, bank transfer) €5,000 €20,000
Standard (non-VIP) Cryptocurrency €300,000 No stated monthly cap
VIP Players Fiat and Crypto Higher limits — determined by VIP tier and account review Higher limits — subject to individual agreement

Any single withdrawal exceeding €5,000 will trigger a re-verification step under our AML protocols. This may require the player to provide or update identity documentation, and to provide source of funds evidence where not already on file. Withdrawals will be held pending completion of this step. Players are encouraged to maintain current and complete documentation on their accounts in order to minimise any delay.

The minimum withdrawal across all methods is €20. There is no exception to this minimum threshold.

9. Cryptocurrency Transactions — Additional AML Considerations

Justbit Casino accepts a range of cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), Tether (USDT), Dogecoin (DOGE), Ripple (XRP), and others listed on justbitonline.com. The use of cryptocurrency does not exempt any player from standard or enhanced due diligence requirements. All cryptocurrency transactions are subject to the same monitoring and compliance controls as fiat transactions.

In addition to standard CDD measures, our compliance team applies the following controls specifically to cryptocurrency activity:

  • Blockchain analysis: We use recognised blockchain analytics tools to assess the risk profile of inbound cryptocurrency transactions. Funds arriving from wallets associated with darknet marketplaces, sanctioned entities, known mixing or tumbling services, or other high-risk sources will be flagged for review and may be refused.
  • Wallet ownership verification: Players may be required to confirm ownership of the wallet address from which they are depositing or to which they wish to withdraw.
  • Source of crypto assets: Where EDD is triggered in relation to a cryptocurrency account, players may be required to provide exchange account statements or other documentation demonstrating the legitimate acquisition of the cryptocurrency being used.
  • Sanctions screening: All wallet addresses are screened against applicable sanctions lists prior to transaction processing.

Justbit Casino reserves the right to decline any cryptocurrency deposit or withdraw any cryptocurrency where our analysis indicates an unacceptable risk of financial crime, regardless of the amount involved.

10. Sanctions Screening

Casbit Group N.V. screens all customers and transactions against applicable international sanctions lists, including those maintained by the United Nations, the European Union, the United States Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and the United Kingdom's Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation (OFSI). This screening takes place at account registration, at key account events, and on an ongoing basis.

Where a customer, transaction, or associated entity is found to match a sanctioned individual, entity, or jurisdiction, Justbit Casino will take immediate action, which may include freezing the account, declining the transaction, or filing a report with the relevant authority. No funds will knowingly be made available to sanctioned persons or entities.

11. Suspicious Activity Reporting

Where our compliance team identifies, or has reasonable grounds to suspect, that a player's funds are derived from criminal activity, or that a transaction is connected to money laundering or terrorist financing, we are obliged to file a Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) or equivalent report with the appropriate authority. This obligation exists regardless of the amount involved and regardless of whether the underlying transaction has been completed.

Justbit Casino operates a strict tipping-off prohibition. This means that once a SAR has been filed, or where one is being considered, we are prohibited from informing the subject of that report or any associated party that a report has been made, or that an investigation may be underway. Accordingly, if we place restrictions on an account or request additional documentation, we are not always in a position to disclose the specific reason for doing so. Players should not interpret such requests as an accusation of wrongdoing.

12. Record Keeping

Justbit Casino retains records relating to customer due diligence, account activity, and transactions for a minimum period of five years from the date of the transaction or the end of the business relationship, whichever is later. Records retained include:

  • Copies of all identity and address documentation obtained during the KYC process;
  • Records of all enhanced due diligence conducted, including source of funds documentation;
  • Full transaction histories for each account, including deposits, withdrawals, wagers, and bonuses;
  • Records of all internal suspicious activity reports and any subsequent external filings;
  • Records of account restrictions, closures, and the reasons for them.

All records are held securely and in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Access is restricted to authorised compliance and management personnel and to regulatory authorities where lawfully required.

13. Staff Training and Awareness

All members of the Justbit Casino team who handle customer accounts, payments, or compliance functions receive regular training on AML and KYC obligations. Training covers the identification of suspicious behaviour, the correct escalation procedures, the requirements of this Policy, and the personal legal obligations that may apply to staff in the event of non-compliance.

Training is reviewed and updated on a regular basis to reflect changes in the regulatory environment, emerging typologies, and lessons learned from internal compliance reviews.

14. Responsible Gambling and AML — The Connection

Justbit Casino recognises that problem gambling and financial crime can be interconnected. A player who is gambling with funds obtained illegally, or who is using our platform to launder money, may also exhibit problem gambling behaviours. Similarly, a player experiencing financial distress may become vulnerable to becoming involved, wittingly or unwittingly, in money laundering activity.

Our AML monitoring therefore works alongside our responsible gambling programme. Where a player's financial behaviour raises both AML concerns and responsible gambling concerns, both sets of controls will be applied. Players who wish to access responsible gambling tools, including deposit limits, cooling-off periods, and self-exclusion, are encouraged to contact our support team at any time via 24/7 live chat, email, or Telegram.

15. Account Closure and Refusal of Service

Justbit Casino reserves the right to refuse to open an account, to suspend an existing account, or to close an account at any time where:

  • A player fails or refuses to provide satisfactory KYC documentation;
  • Documentation provided is found to be false, altered, or otherwise fraudulent;
  • A player is identified as a sanctioned individual or entity;
  • A player's activity gives rise to reasonable suspicion of money laundering or terrorist financing;
  • Continuing the business relationship would, in our reasonable assessment, expose the business to unacceptable regulatory or reputational risk.

Where an account is closed under this Policy, any funds held in the account will be dealt with in accordance with our legal obligations. In some circumstances, we may be required to retain funds pending the outcome of a regulatory or law enforcement investigation, and may be prohibited from releasing them or explaining the reason for their retention.

16. Player Responsibilities

Players at justbitonline.com are required to:

  • Provide accurate and truthful information at the time of registration and at all subsequent stages;
  • Notify Justbit Casino promptly of any change in their personal details, including name, address, or payment method;
  • Respond promptly to any request for documentation or information issued by our compliance team;
  • Only deposit and withdraw funds that are legitimately owned by them and derive from lawful sources;
  • Not use the platform on behalf of any third party, or allow any third party to use their account;
  • Not attempt to obscure the origin of funds through the structuring of deposits, the use of multiple accounts, or any other means.

Any breach of these responsibilities may result in account suspension, forfeiture of funds, closure of the account, and, where appropriate, referral to the relevant authorities.

17. Contact and Reporting

Players with questions about this Policy, or who wish to report a concern relating to financial crime, may contact Justbit Casino through any of the following channels:

  • Live Chat: Available 24/7 via justbitonline.com
  • Email: Available via the Contact page on justbitonline.com
  • Telegram: Available 24/7 — details provided at justbitonline.com

Compliance-specific correspondence, including the submission of KYC documentation, should be directed to the contact method indicated within your account's verification portal. Our compliance team will acknowledge receipt and provide guidance on next steps within a reasonable timeframe.

18. Policy Updates

This Policy is reviewed on a regular basis by the MLRO and senior management of Casbit Group N.V. It will be updated where required to reflect changes in applicable legislation, regulatory guidance, licence conditions, or internal risk assessments. The current version of this Policy is always available at justbitonline.com. Continued use of the platform following an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy. Players who do not accept the revised terms should cease using the platform and contact support to close their account.
